Walkerdale (00)

picture of walkerdale

Walkerdale is set in County Durham somewhere between Consett and Tyne Dock. The main lines run past the ever-popular NE Museum and the small local run Military Museum.

Locomotives range from 9F‘s and Q7‘s with their mineral loads for the local iron works, together with A4‘s, W8‘s, Diesels and Deltics, to strange visitors from all parts of the rail network like this Q1 with a rake of coal.

The local scrap merchants have never had it so good with the mass destruction of our steam heritage, but all is not lost thanks to the museums and private collections.

Wakerdale was created purely for pleasure and I hope that people will get as much pleasure out of viewing it as I did building it. Please feel free to ask any questions at shows, even if I do look harassed at times.

Walkerdale has recently been upgraded with new control and 4 extra fiddle lanes added
